HBRW - Two Raw Sisters

HBAF 1170x504px Two Raw Sisters

Margo and Rosa Flanagan keep cooking simple yet fancy, and they show you new and inventive ways to make plants the star of the show using familiar, everyday whole food ingredients. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian or a die-hard meat lover, there is something for everyone; all eaters are welcome. Who are the Two Raw Sisters? How have they created their brand? And how have two sisters from Christchurch gone on to have the highest selling cookbook published in NZ last year? Chair Lizzie Russell pulls a seat up to the table and digs in to their story.

Sisters Margo and Rosa Flanagan are not vegan or vegetarian and adopted a 'start with your fruit and vegetables’ lifestyle after various health issues. They are passionate about helping people create a sustainable lifestyle that can be maintained and enjoyed without judgment. They host regular workshops in their Christchurch kitchen and around New Zealand as in-demand speakers. For those hungry for more, The Two Raw Sisters launched their successful app with new recipes and meal plans, inspiration and a focus on women's health. Simple Fancy is their fourth book.

Lizzie Russell works as BayBuzz magazine’s assistant editor and runs Tennyson Gallery in Napier. She also co-ordinates Pecha Kucha Hawke’s Bay and the biennial Wildflower Sculpture Exhibition. Lizzie holds an MA in Creative Writing from Victoria University’s International Institute of Modern Letters.
