Bring your tamariki to meet Santa in Functions on Hastings this Christmas!
Post your letters to Santa, meet the big man himself and have a photo in Santa's Grotto. You can either take your own photo for free on your phone, or get a polaroid to take home for $2. Santa's Grotto is open from 1pm till 4pm.
There will be a Giving Tree for Hastings Women's Refuge, as well, so you can help share the aroha with your community this festive season. Please remember the circumstances of the whānau receiving these gifts when you bring them - we want to bring as much joy and happiness into their lives as possible. Please keep all gifts unwrapped, clothing items plain (no red) and gifts for men and boys are also welcome (but please no toy 'weapons'). If donating long-life food, please ensure it is easy to cook and its use by date is later than March 2021. Here is a story about suggested food items to donate from experts who work in this field.
Santa is also welcoming tamariki to his low-sensory grotto - there are open sessions on Monday, December 7 and Saturday, December 19 from 4-5pm. If you are sensory-sensitive and don't like crowds, you can book a one-on-one spot with Santa from noon until 12.45pm on December 5 and 12, and from 9am till 9.45am on December 19. With no music, low lights and no queues, bookings are essential. Please phone us on 06 871 5289 to reserve your spot.
