The Te Kahu o Te Amorangi, Kahungunu Haka Ngahau is the first event held within the rohe which showcases our competitive kapa haka teams representing Ngāti Kahungunu at Te Mana Kuratahi, Ngā Kapa Haka Kura Tuarua o Aotearoa, and Te Matatini national competitions in 2022.
The event will be opened by Ngāti Kahungunu Taikura (pictured) who also represent the iwi at the Taikura Festival at Te Papa in Wellington.
The Ngāti Kahungunu Rūnanga Arts & Culture Board are proud to celebrate the best of Kahungunu haka and would like to acknowledge the sponsorship of Te Matatini, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Culture & Heritage.
