Toitoi - Hawke's Bay Arts & Events Centre is excited to introduce a new, free, eight-week training programme for local rangatahi interested in careers in events and entertainment technology!

If you're aged 15 or over and are interested in events technology, then we'd love you to join our comprehensive after-school introduction to Entertainment and Events Technology (that's all the backstage tech stuff at Toitoi!).

You'll learn about health and safety, all the roles within a tech team, see demonstrations in lighting and sound, and do hands-on activities. This programme is your first step to a potential career in the events and entertainment industry.

WHO
Ākonga who are interested in entertainment and events technology and are willing to commit to two hours, once a week, for eight weeks.

COST
Free for ākonga aged 15 and over.

WHEN?
Tuesdays, from 5-7pm, during term time, from March 11 until May 13, 2025.

KEEN?
Applications for the second intake of our Introduction to Events and Entertainment Technology programme will open in December 2024. Keep your eyes on our socials (@toitoivenues on Facebook and Instagram) for more details.
