Cedric’s is not like any other venue for hire – it’s a fully curated, complete experience, where every element of your event has been carefully selected, to ensure the highest quality for your guests.
The Cedric’s experience includes a host (duty manager) and two fully-trained, specialist, uniformed staff. It also includes a curated soundtrack of era-appropriate background music, or you can supply your own Spotify playlist.

Cocktail-led, Cedric’s menu honours historical moments, creating memories for a lifetime with every sip. Our cocktail menu has been designed so your guests’ tastebuds are transported to a bygone era, adding to the ambience of this special venue. You can select as many cocktails as you like from our curated menu.
Complementing our classic cocktails, is our small-yet-perfectly-formed wine list which celebrates the sumptuous, unique and diverse offering of our local industry. Our beer, champagne and soda list focuses on premium beverages which boast the best of Hawke’s Bay.
Menus are designed as snacks or supper servings, with a range of seasonal small plates, cheese or meat boards and canapes available.
Cedric’s can accommodate 30 people inside. While the adjoining Municipal Lane allows for a greater number, it’s not weatherproof, so capacity is limited to 30.
A flat venue hire fee of $550 +GST ensures exclusive use of the space for five hours and the above inclusions. Extend your stay for $100+gst per hour. All food ordered will be invoiced after your event, along with your hire fee.
