The Kids Sing Choir Festival is designed as an opportunity for primary and intermediate school choirs and their conductors to perform in a supportive environment with constructive feedback.
School children take part each year and the event is growing annually, as more and more primary school conductors realise that better musical outcomes can be achieved through the teaching and nurturing of basic choral techniques.
This year Hawke’s Bay Festival will see 13 schools with just under 500 children taking part.
